Chico Auto Repair

This place is terrible. Don't go here. They say you have more things wrong than what actually is wrong with your car. They try to get more money out of you. Plus they said they would keep my car inside because it was nicer and I have drove by twice and its outside. And they aren't working with me on the money situation. A guy called me and he was a jerk to me on the phone.

This is the place to go get your car fixed in chico! Honest work and affordable pricing. I travel and these guys have fixed my old chevy van a couple times when i have been through chico. Found my way in oregon and Had a part fail due to a faulty autozone part and the doctors kept to there word on there warranty and took care of the bill. This past visit i needed a serious checkup and they were very thorough and helped me decide the most important fixes, job well done! As I am leaving chico onto my next adventure I had an issue completely unrelated to my last repair, i called the doctor he drove to my location and gave the issue at hand a quick diagnosis and fix and we were on the road, this was pro bono. Cannot thank you enough guys! we will always be back to visit you guys when we find way in chico. best shop in town !!!! fast ... professional ....and honest. came in from out of town check engine light came on. i stop by another shop to get my work done they would not touch it for less the $120 just to diagnose my problem. And said wont be done till Monday morning at the earliest. needless to say I left and stopped off and spoke with Dr. Jesse (the man) he read my code for free ...found the part and replaced it for me back on the road no time...no more engine light. Just as cheap to fix it there then to find out what the problem was at the other spot.Dr Jesse to the recue !

I had Jesse change my oil and check the fluids in my car today and I am extremely happy with my service. I mentioned to him that my car was making a squeaking noise and he tightened my belt for free and fixed the squeaking. It's so hard to find an honest mechanics, especially when you don't know anything about cars. I am so happy I finally found one. :) Jesse is the only mechanic I will be taking my car to from now on.

The Doctor of Motors has incredle service, starting from the efficiency of your vehicle repair to how they treat you as a person. I recall getting the best quote from them out of all other shops in Chico. It does not end here, they also drove me home(on a rainy day) after I dropped off my vehicle. I would not go anywhere else, honestly.

These guys are incredibly nice, fair and caring! I literally know nothing about vehicles and was told to take my truck to them by multiple people. Robert called me and explained what was needed. I tried to explain to my friend the things that they needed to do to make my truck safe, but I totally sucked at explaining it. So Robert graciously explained to my friend everything needed. When they got off the phone my friend was blown away that I was getting so much work done for the price they quoted me! They have gained another lifetime customer. Being on a very strict budget and being in school it is a wieght off my shoulders knowing I have honest and reasonable mechanics on my side. They even gave me a ride home! Great wonderful people!!

I was able to get the problem with my car fix right over the phone. Thanks to Robert I was able to get the problem with my car fix right over the phone. Thought it was a problem with the starter or computer but he had a simple solution that was no problem to fix.

Update, then I got a response from someone who works there saying my review is untrue. I guess I should have added this happened a few years ago and it was before the move. Everything I said was true and correct and I don't appreciate after my terrible experience there, being a called a liar on top of it. Truly shows the level of professionalism they use at this facility. I stick by my first review.

Don't ever like writing a bad review but this place left a bad taste in my mouth. Wanted to get my oil pan gasket replaced. Told them to look and see if there was anything else they can fix to let me know (being naïve and a trusting person I should've never said this). But when they call me up they tell me I have two more oil leaks and it's gonna cost me just over two thousand dollars! Then they told me I could use a tune up as well which was gonna cost around 1500 dollars but we can do that another time he said. Upon feeling that his assessment was correct on my vehicle I just wanted to see if I could get a better deal. I took my truck to Gary's automotive just around the corner. Tuned my engine up replaced my gasket my radiator had begun leaking at this point and he replaced that as well all for a thousand dollars. He couldn't find a second or third oil leak. Dr of motors has great customer service how ever just be wary and get a second quote. I by no means have a lot of expendable cash and if you like are like me give a second spot a shot you might feel a huge weight of your soldiers when ur gonna hear u can save a thousand dollars.
