Was fine place for getting your oil changed, but they tell you all these things "wrong" with your car that need to be fixed "right away." Spent enough of my money there being tricked by the shady guys just trying to take advantage of young college girls who don't know much about cars. Never again thanks!

THIS PLACE IS SHADY. DO NOT GO HERE!!! My car over heated so I came in they told me they would diagnose it for $54 and if there was a problem they would apply that charge to whatever needed to be done. After they finished, they gave me an estimate of $936. I was stunned, and the guy said "you know what i'll drop it to an even $900." I thought well thats nice dropping a few bucks off, but it was still a lot of money. I called up my mechanic down in Orange County because that's where I am from. He laughed when I told him what needed to be done and the price they told me. I paid my $54 and got the hell out of there. The guy told me it was because there's more competition in areas like Orange County, so it would be cheaper down there. I ended up taking it to another mechanic in town. The Auto Doctor off of Park Ave. Don't get these two confused. This place was awesome. They looked at my car and told me that Doctor of Motors totally missed the bar and were trying to screw me. I got my car fixed for only $345. Way better than $936. I would not recommend Doctor of Motors to anyone. Go to ANY other place in town. Everyone I have talked to about this incident has told me that Doctor of Motors has tried to rip them off. They SUCK! They just want your money, that's it.

STAY AWAY - these guys are crooks! Brought my car in 3 months ago for running rough (skipping cylinders) that developed that day and only happened a few of times. The engine light had come on and off. Was told that the spark plugs were oil fouled and that this meant that I needed an entirely new engine. I had a weird feeing so I just had them replace the spark plugs. It has run perfectly fine since. I had the car into a reputable shop in Roseville where I just moved for an unrelated matter today. I asked them to check the spark plugs while they were at it. They said that they are showing normal wear and tear and definitely look like they are the ORIGINAL spark plugs and they look like they have NEVER been oil fouled. So, DOM made the whole thing up and charged me for replacing spark plugs which they apparently DIDN'T REPLACE! If I still lived in Chico I'd consider small claims court. Not worth the hassle from here :-(

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING ! I came in for my brake lights and dashboard lights. When I called the guy was very gracious and suggested I come in so he could take a look at it. Once I did he fixed everything within a matter of minutes ! I asked him the price and he said no charge. There was actually a lot more wrong with my car but I didn't want to spend a lot but after he said that I asked them to check it out. I had 3 guys total locking at my car checking it making sure everything was good. All in all I only spent $100. They are extremely honest. I'll recommend them to EVERYONE! Left so happy ! :D

Great place to take your car! I get great coupons because I signed up to receive their emails. They are friendly, nice, knowledgable, and understanding.

I have had several great experiences at Doctor of Motors. Everyone is always friendly and professional. I've had my oil changed a couple of times, and I appreciate that they give me a fair discounted price for bringing in my own oil and filter. They even gave me a flower each time, which I thought was a nice touch. This most recent time I visited I needed to get my brakes fixed. I called to see when they could get me in and how long my car would be in the shop. They were able to schedule me for the next day, get the parts in that morning, and have the car finished later that afternoon. I couldn't believe how fast they were able to order the parts and complete the work. I would highly recommend going to Doctor of Motors. They seem to be pretty transparent with their quotes as they list the cost of parts and their charge for labor on your statement. I just think its nice that you get full disclosure about how they are pricing the repair so you can make the choice about whether you think their bill is reasonable or not.

This is a good family owned and ran business, the staff is friendly and helpful. Every time I have gone there for one of my cars or trucks they have gone the extra mile and tried to save me a buck or two. They even found other problems and gave me quotes on them, to be done at a latter time if needed. And unlike most auto shops they also gave different quotes on prices using different parts be it aftermarket or from factory or even used/rebuilt.

They were very nice and took care of my problem with my car at a fair price
