I've known these guys for over a year and a half now and they are absolutely great! I know first hand how hard they work to make sure their customers are satisfied as well as their employees! I've referred numerous people to come here and they have all had the same great experience I have had. Hands down the best place in town. If your having troubles with your car, go in and let them check it out :)

I got an oil and filter change which was much cheaper and faster than my other experiences. On top of that, they gave me a run down on things needed to be fixed on my car, free of charge. They gave an estimate for each of these services. I talked to Dave, he was very informative and a nice guy. Will definitely go there again

Robert and the whole crew at Doctor of Motors were friendly and professional. I own an auto shop so I understand how valuable great customer service really is. My vehicle was checked out quickly and a complete list of repair items was presented to me with clear explanations on the importance and cost of each. It was easy to understand and make a decision about what to do. Thanks Guys!

Dr. Of Motors is amazing! Not only do they offer great prices on oil changes, they are speedy and the entire staff is super friendly. I have taken my car into the Dr. Of Motors many times and every time they walk me through the steps of what needs to be done, as well as give me information on what other problems might be lurking around the corner. Jesse is fantastic and has helped me get my car back on the road time and time again! The Dr. Of Motors is the only place I take my car in Chico.

Warning!! Doctor of motors might have great mechanics they also have a very bad administration. I went with my girlfriend to take her car after the many great reviews on Google. The diagnostic was great and the cost was as well. I had no problem with that. What I had a big problem was listening to the solutions and the cost of repairing the car. So the final quote for the car was little less than $2000 for the fill repair of everything they found to be wrong with the car. My girlfriend was about to say yes fix it. But I had to step in and say to her no. I wanted her to go to someone else and get a quote, so we left saying we would call if we decided to do the work. In the meantime I call three car shops and every car shop provided me with a quote that was about half of the quote that doctors of motors provided my girlfriend. The shop that my girlfriend took the car was AAA certified and for all the work that was quoted from the doctor of motors they charged bout $590 much less than what they quoted. So after these short words my advice to you specially if you know very little about cars is get various quotes. As they will take advantage of you if they think you know nothing about cars. Be careful really. I hope people read this before they decide to take their vehicle to this place.

I brought my vehicle in on 5/13/13 for a tune and check because I was driving to Flagstaff AZ for 3 weeks. The good "Doctors" had it for 2 days before they told me it had a bad fuel injector. The first 2 days they claimed they couldn't find anything wrong. It had been starting hard on occasion and did not have the normal power on acceleration. They told me I should replace all the injectors since one was bad. At $240 a piece this did make much sense to me. I was then told the injector gaskets were brittle and should be replaced. I picked up my vehicle on Friday and drove it about 1/2 mile to my home before being call back to work. It started ok but was running rather rough. I got home from work and took it on a road test. I immediately called Robert and he told me they "have a great warranty and I should just take it somewhere where ever I am going". Now Flagstaff is 845 miles from Chico and I just spent $900+ dollars for my vehicle to be running worse? Fortunately, I found a mobile mechanic on Saturday and was able to repair it on Sunday. The actual coil wire to the "bad injector cylinder" was broken and was replaced by him in less that one hour. I have attempted to deal with Robert on his shops bogus misdiagnosis but he just keeps referring me to their "great" warranty. I called the warranty and it isn't covered because it was not what they actually worked on. They refuse to make situation right. I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. They are not skilled mechanics.

Stopped going here after I moved but family owned and reliable repair shop. Would recommend.

If you're a female who doesn't know a lot about cars, stay away from here. I had a 1987 ford bronco II that wasn't passing smog. I knew she needed a new EGR valve, but they told me they had to take out the whole engine to get back behind it. They had my car for about three weeks (said they were waiting on a part) In the end it ended up costing me close to $800. I was getting ready to sell the car when I went to get the car smogged again (I needed it on short notice because I wanted paper work to be in the 90 day period for selling, and I hadn't driven the car in a couple of months since it being "fixed") when I called them they said they didn't have enough smog certificates. They also told me I wasn't in their computer system for being there before. I called another place to get it smogged and repeated what Doctors of motors was telling me. They decided to look it over because it wasn't passing smog for the problem they told me they fixed. They had actually ended up replacing a hose down by my gas tank area. Which I was told should not have been an $800 charge. Long story short I had to get the better business bureau involved. They told me I had a solid case. Doctors of motors said they would fix it for free when I called them in, and when I agreed to drop it they took me for a sucker again. They just made it pass because they guy told me they just forgot to check it when passing it the first time. They admitted they fixed nothing. So I went back to my other guy and he fixed my problem for around $300. I should have stuck with my gut and not dropped the case with the better business bureau. I however wanted to sell my car because I was getting a new one. Let my $800 dollars be a lesson. Go somewhere else.
