I have taken my Jeep here twice and have had mixed experiences. The first time was great. My 1996 Jeep Cheeroke was making a funny noise and the check engine light came out which really scared me. I was thinking my car was a goner and I was not going to drop over $500 to fix some engine problem. Miguel was great, told me exactly what was wrong and it only cost $250. My Jeep has ran great ever since. So when I needed an oil change and front/rear dif I decided to go back instead just a jiffy lube, but maybe I should have. The second time I made an appointment for 9am on Tuesday. I then wrote a review about the customer service and over pricing I felt from Dr. Motors and that evening when I picked up my car Brad had read my yelp review and was concerned about my dissatisfaction. I explained to him why my second experience at Dr. of Motors was disappointing and reassured me by reducing my bill by $60. He also showed me one of the suggested procedures for my car and explained why it would be necessary. I was very impressed with Brad's customer service and that he took the time to read my review. Dr. of Motors obviously values their customers and want to make sure we get a good experience every time, which is something hard to find in any business. Thank you so much for your personal attention and taking care of me and my car. I will definitely bring my jeep back!

You will not find better customer service. I promise. Great folks, great work. A mechanic you can trust.

These guys are sweethearts. They follow their Yelp reviews and work HARD for this well-deserved 5-star average. You will be in good hands with Brad and Miguel. I do wish they'd bring back the vacuuming someone mentioned. I actually chose this shop for a trial run (routine oil change) simply because it had a good Yelp rating and someone mentioned their car had been vacuumed prior to pick up. If I had ANY complaint whatsoever about my experience with Doctor of Motors, it would be the lack of that teensy little finishing touch.

Love the customer service. I own a carpet cleaning company in Chico and had Doctor of Motors do some service work on my vans. They were fast affordable and even called a few days later to make sure everything was working properly.

Good service, good people. They even worked late (19:30!) on a Friday night to fix my rig.

I found out about Doctor of Motors from a Yelp review, and I'm glad I did. This is definitely the best place in Chico I've ever taken my car (and I've taken it to quite a few places). The guys are so nice and I don't feel like I'm getting taken advantage of at all, which is a huge deal for me. They walked me through everything they were charging me for and I felt comfortable.

Service as expected. I needed my heater core replaced in my Ford truck ASAP. They were able to get me in 1st thing in the morning and out on the road in little over an hour.

BE CAREFUL! My personal opinion: beware and don't go there; run, walk, drive or tow yourself in the opposite direction! The lowest estimate can sometimes lead to more charges upon more charges. This can be an unfortunate scam in auto repair shops. They lure you in and drain you dry. This can ultimately cost you up to 3 times (or more) of your original estimate! As far as Doctor of Motors, this is what I feel that they did to me and my family when we contracted them to rebuild an engine. Once getting the car, they kept adding more and more and more that needed to be fixed. First estimate of under $3,000.00 ended up costing around $8,000.00 and THE CAR STILL DOESN'T RUN! We could have paid for a brand new crate engine for less than that! They got all the money we promised; we didn't get the results they promised. We feel we tried EVERYTHING to work with them to get the car fixed properly ; however, their charismatic personalities took a nose dive when the money stopped. Unfortunately, a suit being filed against them is the only option we feel we have left. We also had to report them to the Bureau of Auto Repair. In my opinion, they talk well, sound good (especially if you don't know the mechanics of a car) and then, take you for a long, bumpy, exhaustive and EXPENSIVE ride. A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING is how I would personally describe this shop. I am expressing my opinion and our experience, only. I write this so that others will be cautious and so this won't happen to anyone else.

I was traveling through Chico to visit some friends last week on my way to San Francisco. My brakes were starting to make some strange noises- I found the Doctor on Yelp and decided to check them out. They were extremely nice and knew that I was in a hurry to catch the Giants game in San Francisco- the moved around some appointments that day so I wouldn't be late for the game. They gave me a great price and finished quickly. My car was even vacuumed when I picked it up. Hopefully I won't have car issues when I'm 800 miles away from home again, but if I happent o be in Chico when that happens again, I will be going to see the Doctor again for sure! Highly recommended- don't waste your time checking out another auto repair shop, just come straight here!

These guys are great! I went to the dealership and got a quote and then went to doctor of motors and saved $2,500!!! No joke!!! They even vacuumed my car when they were finished! I would definitely recommend them!!!!
