My go to place for getting car service. In this case, an invitation for an A/C check in early July encouraged me to have it checked out. It was kinda sorta cooling a bit in 100+ F temps, but after I authorized an A/C fix, I'm getting undeniably cold air. Good for summer!

Explained to Robert at Doctor of Motors about a few issues my vehicle was explaining. I gave him a code my car was throwing on my Accessport on my ‘16 WRX along with a few things that was going on with my car and almost instantly he knew what was going on! I knew then, I would be leaving my car in great hands!! Robert promised to have the car done by the next day but instead gave me a call with great news! Car was done same day and it was done at no extra cost! I will definitely continue to recommend Doctor Of Motors. Thanks guys!!!

The AC in my car stopped working. They charged $125 to look at it. Verbally told me it was an electrical issue and they needed another $250 for doing more tests. However on the document they provided it stated the compressor clutch needed to be replaced. With the $125 they did not even do a dye test. Lots of other places in town put in the dye for lesser price. They quoted me $2138.00 to get my AC fixed. Prices here are outrageous. Never going back here.

I would have to say they are extremely friendly,easy to talk to, they even gave me a "loaner" car because the replacement transmission came in damaged and we really needed a vehicle because we were in the middle of moving!!! I have been using them for a couple years now and I'm pleased.... The only down side i would give them is they seem to be consistently off on the day things will be ready and parts pricing seems to be a bit higher than other shops... Not,give me your wallet higher,just a bit! That being said its an auto repair shop,blame trickles down and 1 in a hundred things can change what happens when trying to stay on schedule. Over all 2 thumbs up,would recommend you give them a try!

I just recently moved to Chico and needed a few things checked out on my car. I am so very pleased that I chose Doctor of Motors!!! They were friendly, efficient and fixed my car to the point of feeling like I'm driving a brand new car!!! Robert was extremely helpful and transparent about the issues with my car. While no work was actually done to my car, he explained to me in detail what the problems were, and gave me a transparent estimate. Robert was super honest and told me it probably wouldn't be worth the money to work on my old, nearly broken down car. That kind of service will definitely have me coming back when I do need work done on a car

First impression was bad, the custom service was not too great, but they were very busy and it was 105 degrees so... When they called me they were very nice. Maybe the nicest service I've gotten from a mechanic. Their estimate started at $130 for just a check up, but they lowered it to $91 when I picked it up. The price still seems a little too much, but they did not push anything on me and told me the truth. They were very helpful and did not try to grab my money.

I have experience with this place from taking some corporate fleet vehicles here and my personal vehicle here. I always feel I leave learning a little bit more when I have a car issue and I don't feel like I'm getting scammed. I like the front desk guy, Robert, I just think he is all business and good at it. Do I pay FULL price when I use DOM? yes ouch. Do I feel taken advantage of like I was scammed? No. I took a vehicle in for a weird but faint noise and they gave it back saying they couldn't find an issue. I have since then not had any any major issues with it (it's just a weird vehicle 2014 Nissan Quest). DOM has fixed a throttle body on a 2006 Equinox and also diagnosed a leaking head gasket. They offer pre-buy inspection for looking at used cars. The fliers they send to remind me they exist is for oil changes, but I already go somewhere else. The flier reminded me that they still want my business, and so I called them up and got in quick for an oil leak. They offered two fixes for the leak, saying the cheaper one will take care of most of the leak (I was happy to take the cheaper option and the leak is gone).
